Love Me or Leave Me was also one of the most successful musical-movies of the 1950s and boasts one of Doris’s finest dramatically-charged screen performances!

And this the film's soundtrack album is nothing short of a masterpiece including the Oscar nominated ballad “I’ll Never Stop Loving You”. This was Doris Day’s biggest-selling album stateside having peaked at the #1 position and spent a staggering 28 weeks on the American Billboard chart. Doris recorded the songs for soundtrack at MGM Studios in California between November 10 & March 1, 1955.

Columbia/Legacy (USA) released a digitally remastered CD edition of this album in 1993. It featured stereo mixes of those songs included on the 1955 mono LP (with exception of “Ten Cents A Dance” which was now included as part of an extended medley of songs), as well as two previously unreleased versions of songs from the film’s soundtrack. Also included is the original artwork, new photographs and liner notes.
