Julie is
a woman terrorised by her husband (Lyle) who plots to kill
her like he killed her first husband. The problem is the police can do nothing
without proof of a death threat. So, the next move is up to
Julie....
Julie
nabbed two Oscar nominations for best screenplay and song.
The song trophy was incidentally lost to another Day classic - Que Sera,
Sera (from her Hitchcock thriller
The Man Who Knew Too
Much).
It was during the making of this picture that
Doris first discovered Carmel (California). Enchanted by this
location she later made it her current day home.
