As
regulars to this site will know Warner Bros. USA
were rumoured to be working on another Doris Day DVD
boxset.
Well I am pleased to finally reveal after
months of waiting and wondering what this could
entail that there is indeed to be a fabulous third
series of "The Doris Day Collection". This is
planned to coincide with darling Doris Day's 85th
birthday in 2009. |

The new DVD delight is a joint project between
Warner Bros. and Tuner Classic Movies. It is
scheduled for release on April 7th 2009 and features
5 new-to-DVD titles: "April in Paris",
"It’s A Great Feeling", "Starlift",
"Tea for Two" and "The Tunnel of Love".
Rest
assured that unlike those very poor British DVD
releases of some of these movies (which we will
pretend never actually took place) these Region 1
North
American DVDs have been painstakingly remastered
using ALL-NEW digital transfers.
The other great news is that the set will include a
generous helping of bonus features such as classic
cartoons, vintage shorts and the "No, No Nanette"
Radio Show from the 1949 "Railroad Hour" series,
with Doris Day and Gordon MacRae . The films will be
available in Digi-Pak packaging as part of a collection only
for approx $50USD. Sorry folks but there are NO
plans to release these DVDs separately!!
