In October 1998, the A&E network premiered It's Magic - their captivating
and informative
biography on Doris Day. It charted her life and
career
exploring her private and public successes and
failures.
The in-depth biography narrated by Peter Graves lasted nearly 2-hours and
featured rare photographs as well as clips from her
feature films and music recordings. It also
contained newly commissioned candid interviews
with friends and colleagues, such as band-leader
Les Brown, official biographer A. E. Hotchner,
acting co-stars James Garner,
Kaye Ballard, Jackie Joseph,
Edie Adams and Terry Melcher (Doris's son).
