New reproduction of a 1950s American paper doll booklet...
by Stephen M (Last updated: 15 September 2008, 6.18pm)

A touch of nostalgia here with this adorable collector's item based on the original 1952 production from the Whitman Company...

It was quite a surprise in 2007 to see this retro item resurface as the original had long vanished into the passages of time.

Thanks to the Paper Studio Press based in Maine we now able to purchase a Paper Doll that first came out in 1952 in a pocket folder format. This faithful reproduction however now comes in a book format but other than a few minor alterations this pretty item retains all its delightful 1950s fashions and the two dolls. The booklet features full colour illustrations and has an up to date biography of Doris on the inside back cover from the acclaimed fashion forecaster David Wolfe. It is a total of 16 pages plus the cover and measures around 10" x 13".

Order your copy now from amazon.co.uk and amazon.com.
