1971 the show's lead character Doris Martin (aka
Doris Day) relocates with family to a new apartment
in San Francisco above an Italian restaurant.

* Note: The
Young Love pilot was produced in early 1971
by Arwin Productions (Doris Day's company) as a
proposed weekly series for CBS-TV. The network did
not pick up Young Love as a series, though
footage from the pilot was subsequently used in the
episode of the same name that appeared in Season 3.
New segments with Doris Day and Meredith Baxter were
also added. CBS-TV later aired the original Young
Love pilot on May 24, 1974. This DVD release
heralds the first time the pilot will be seen in its
original form since 1974!

NEWS UPDATE ...
Doris was nominated in two categories for this
years American TV DVD Awards. Season 3 of the Doris Day Show
featured in "Best 1970s Series" and The Doris Day
Special appeared under "Best Variety Series".
