Olivia Newton-John acknowledges Doris Day as being one of her “Women of Song”
Published: November 15, 2004

Olivia Newton-John renowned for hit single “Physical” & starring role in the musical-movie ‘Grease’ has just released her new studio album “Indigo – Women of Song”.

For Olivia’s latest album, she pays tribute to the female singers and songwriters who she has long admired. As many may recall, Olivia contributed a very touching message to Ms. Day’s “80th Birthday” CD boxset (“Doris Day – Her Life In Music“) so it is no real surprise that she chose to include a song on this album by Doris Day (“Love Me Or Leave Me”).

‘Discovering Doris’ gives the chart-topping songstress a massive thumbs up for her sincere gesture and would recommend this very classy album produced by the legendary Phil Ramone to any music lover.

“I have long admired Doris for her years of singing and acting and for her wonderful spirit – her down to earth womanliness. She was the ultimate girl next door with sex appeal without even trying. This is one song that is definitely hers!” – Olivia Newton-John
