US Rapper-Actor Ludacris remixes Doris Day’s seasonal classic “Here Comes Santa Claus”

US Rapper-Actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges plays a record-spinning elf with a Doris Day fixation in the holiday movie ‘Fred Claus’.

With Thanksgiving now over, shopping malls and radio stations across the USA have started to play their holiday music selection. Hip-Hop favourite Ludacris is here to help kick off the Christmas season with his new seasonal jam inspired by his zany record-spinning elf character, DJ Donnie in the Christmas comedy “Fred Claus”. For those who haven’t seen the fun chrildren’s movie this was an elf who just so happens to have a Doris Day fixation.

Ludacris has sampled Doris Day’s 1940s ditty “Here Comes Santa Claus” for his new record which has a limited release across American clubs and featured in part during the feature film. The powers that be decided however to include Doris’s original version on the film’s soundtrack album which is actually quite a lovely holiday album!

Ludacris: It’s funny because at the end of the film you’ll hear a remix of “Here Comes Santa Claus” and that is the tune I would rock out to. It’s me and Doris Day together.
